How It Works

Pivot Charter School, North Bay allows students to access their courses from the comfort of their own home or from our convenient facility. Because our courses are 100% online, you will experience a flexibility that the traditional, structured classroom environment cannot offer. The online curriculum allows teachers to focus on student support one-on-one; all the support students receive is catered to individual needs.

Free Program

Pivot Charter School, North Bay is a CA public charter school and is therefore free to all California residents that meet the legal requirements for attending a charter school. Students do not have to pay for the online courses or for the support they receive from the local teachers at the site.

Online or On-site

It works just like a traditional middle and high school, except everything is online. You can login and access your courses from home, the public library, or anywhere there is a computer and internet access. And you'll have your own local credentialed California teacher at our resource center to help provide daily oversight, motivation, and on-site support if needed. Pivot Charter School, North Bay incorporates an online curriculum with credentialed online teachers and credentialed on-site teachers working side by side with students as they are engaged in their courses.

Teacher-Supported Learning

You'll have access to one-on-one instruction from California-credentialed teachers 24/5 (Sunday 8pm – Friday 6pm) and 24/7 help from our support staff. Teachers communicate with you through phone, email, and instant messaging. Our teachers even have a virtual online whiteboard to visually explain concepts to you.

Commitment to Student Success

We are committed to the success of every student. Our local teachers work directly with you to help orient you into your online classes, answer any questions, and connect you with your online teachers as well as provide tutoring, fun classes and school-wide events.

The teachers are very nice when I call them – extraordinary people! — Sam, Student
